The School entered into the second week for the sports programme with a continuation of a mixture between summer and winter sports. This programme has meant that every year group and pupil has been coached by 1st team coaches across all sports.

There was also the introduction of a new initiative called the Cranleigh School High Performance Sporting Programme. The voluntary programme aims to support and develop pupils who are aiming for international representation and/or a career in ‘professional’ sport. The focus areas of the programme will be around Sport Psychology and Physiological Improvements, as well as a greater understanding of their sport. Pupils will opt into the programme which will run throughout the year involving additional clinics, lectures and training sessions. Cranleigh School High Performance Sporting Programme will involve Seminars and workshops both from internal and external speakers, small group clinics educating on areas such as nutrition, flexibility, Leadership, warm ups, recovery (sleep), load management, managing injuries and Sport Psychology

There was also more success for the Riders at the NSEA Combined Training and Show Jumping National qualifiers this weekend. Our Intermediate combined training team came 1st with an individual 4th place for Tom S. Following this, Lucy Le M. came 1st in the Intermediate Show Jumping, and the Novice Show Jumping team came 2nd overall with Tara M. finishing 1st. This means that all of the above secured qualifications for the National Championships. This is once again a wonderful achievement. A huge thank you to Mrs Allison, the pupils and their parents for support and hard work.
