England CallsWith ten girls and five boys getting to the Regional Tier 1 competition, including Chloe Nicholls and James Gall attending the Futures Cup, over the past two weeks Cranleigh hockey have had great news with no less than six players selected at England level.

Megan Batchelor and Charlotte Calnan were selected for England U15 HiPac, with Emily Thorpe a non-travelling reserve whilst still in her under-14 year. Megan and Charlotte did so well that they were two of just five U15 players in the whole country to be selected to trial with the England U16 group, and Charlotte has just been selected to be part of the England U16 squad for 2013.

Charlie Thompson was selected for England U17 HiPac, along with Will Calnan. Like his sister, Will performed so well that he has been selected to be part of the England Boys’ U18 squad for 2013.

Hockey England SelectionJoining him will be James Gall and Ali Clift as they return for their second year in the group, so Cranleigh will have three players in the England Boys’ U18 squad for 2013.

Exciting times and we wish them all well.
