The annual Preparatory Schools’ hockey festival was hosted this year by Cranleigh School on Monday the 20th and 27th of February, on the School’s three artificial surfaces. The festival proved particularly successful for Cranleigh Prep, as they won the U13 event, beating St George’s Weybridge 2-1 in the final.
In the U11 events they also reached the finals of both the boys and girls’ events, but were narrowly beaten in both finals. The U11 girls’ final was won by St George’s Weybridge on flicks after extra time, whilst the U11 boys’ event was won for the first time by Barrow Hills, who managed to score the winning goal in extra time.
Other schools taking part included: Holmewood House, St Andrew’s Woking, Parkside, Feltonfleet, Eagle House, Ripley Court, Churchers, Ardingly, Thomas’s Clapham, and Thomas’s Battersea.
