On Wednesday, L5th artists enjoyed an afternoon of artistic endeavour focused on drawing as Cranleigh’s contribution to the National Big Draw.

Most pupils were focused solely on drawing in various ways, while ceramics and textile students also took the opportunity to turn their hand to activities that would not be possible in the normal course of a school day.

The afternoon was enjoyed by all the participants, who worked very hard to produce some exciting work. Cranleighans do not often get the chance to spend so much time on just one thing – being able to sustain work, that would normally have taken two weeks of lessons, within one afternoon, has real advantages in accelerating the pupils’ progress, and engaging them in a more fulfilling way.
