The past few weeks have seen a number of Cranleigh girls representing their clubs at national finals. Firstly, Georgia Lord (UVI, South) and Chloe Nicholls (UV, West) played for Teddington in the under-18 outdoor finals, where they came a creditable fourth.

The weekend of April 27th-28th saw Megan Batchelor (LV, West) playing for East Grinstead under-16 indoors whilst Olivia Camsey (LV, West) was playing for Surbiton in the same event, though they were drawn in separate groups and didn’t meet!girls club hockey

At the same time in another venue, Katie Batchelor (UVI, South) and Ellie Smith (UV, West) were integral members of the East Grinstead under-18 indoor side that became National Champions (for the first time in the club’s history).

Following the really successful season for all the Girl’s hockey teams at Cranleigh, it is no surprise to see quite a number of our hockey players having an impact for their clubs at national level: I’m sure we’ll see many more of them doing so over the coming years.
