‘Narrative’ is this year’s starting theme for our Lower Sixth artists and to support their studies a trip to the Victoria and Albert Museum followed by the National Gallery was organised for them last week.

Artist Paul Brandford (www.weexploredrawing.com) led the drawing in The National Gallery and, pushing the students hard, had them rethinking their approach inspired by the narrative action seen in many of the paintings. The students’ hard work was exemplary and they came home inspired and more confident for the studio work ahead.
