Last week, we were delighted to welcome twelve pupils and two members of staff from Changsha and Suzhou for our third annual pupil visit. Across our Prep and Senior sites, each guest was paired with a UK partner to experience a full week of immersive lessons and school life.
The visit began with a warm welcome from Mrs. Price and a campus tour between the rain showers, after which the pupils jumped straight into the classroom. Beyond their academic schedule, our guests enjoyed a wide array of activities, from creative research projects with Dr. Taylor to introductory sessions of Fives and Rugby. They also attended Careers & PSHE lectures and various co-curricular clubs, balancing a busy itinerary with well-earned downtime on campus with their new friends.
A unique highlight of the week was a guest-led Mandarin lesson delivered to a lower fifth French class; an experience that proved to be as challenging as it was entertaining. On their final day, the visiting pupils delivered excellent presentations reflecting on their stay. It was heartening to see that, even within the space of a single week, such strong friendships had blossomed across both the Prep and Senior. Particular thanks must go to the Cranleigh UK pupils, who acted as exceptional ambassadors and did the community proud.
Additionally, we will be celebrating Lunar New Year on Monday 23rd February.
