Our riders represented Surrey at the NSEA National County Show Jumping Championships last weekend, taking on teams from across the country who had also qualified to represent their county at this huge two day competition. The standard was obviously high and teams had to compete over two rounds with their cumulative scores, and time in the second round, deciding the honours.

Our mini team of Issy Hollidge; Will Millard; Sienna Sartori and Tom Smith produced some excellent riding to finish in sixth position and then Tom was replaced by Phoebe Going in the novice competition where once again the team rode well to put them in sixth.  With fields 33 teams this was an excellent result.

Freya Hough had qualified to represent Surrey in the Advanced 1.10 class and produced an excellent first round before falling victim to the tricky indoor course in the second round; this had happened to so many riders over the two days but she left the ring smiling and will fight another day!
