The Cranleigh Environmental Action Group worked hard over the Lent term, putting together some great awareness days and initiatives for the whole community.

Along with getting Meat Free Mondays up and running, they ran a successful second hand clothes sale that shared the joy of vintage finds and raised £1800 for charity.

The group also joined forces with Planetary, an amazing initiative from a Cranleigh parent that aims to set up an EcoHub for students everywhere to read and share trusted research and get ideas for green action. Watch this space for some future joint events.

Read their latest newsletter, No PLANet B, to catch up on all the news, some great student articles, and read a fascinating interview on re-wilding. There’s no better time to look at how to make your garden more attractive to wildlife.

The group, always looking for new ideas and members to sign the eco pledge, aims to achieve the Eco Schools Green Flag award by the end of the year.
