Pippi has just been selected for the Great Britain Elite Development Programme – the group of 24-30 athletes that sit just below the centrally contracted group of 28 hockey players. To be selected as one of the top 60 players in the country whilst still at school is a fantastic achievement and we wish her all the best for her continued development within this group. She is also joined for the first time by recent OC Rosie Hope who is currently at university in the US.

With OC Pippa Lock trialling for a central contract when she returns from injury and OC Izzy Petter already a regular in the GB & England teams, Pippi is the next Cranleigh girl to join the top levels of women’s hockey and it is just reward for her ability and commitment.

It was also a good week for Siena who made her Premier Division debut for East Grinstead as they overcame Beeston 2-1 to go top of the table on goal difference.
