Yesterday was a glorious day on Jubilee the Girls’ 1st XI took on the MCC. The team, featuring girls ranging from Under 14 to Under 17, put the MCC in to bat, as is tradition. The girls bowled and fielded extremely well in the hot conditions to limit the MCC to 171-3, pick of the bowlers Felicity H. taking 1-27 from her 6 overs. The School’s reply got off to a steady start and we reached drinks at the halfway stage at 69-4. Molly B-S. and Caitlyn B. then batted brilliantly in an unbeaten partnership of 103 to see us to our target of 172 with 7 balls to spare.

Many thanks to the MCC for providing a team to play and a special mention to Emily K. who stepped in to play for them at late notice.
