Our year 10 GCSE Artists enjoyed an afternoon at Tate Britain recently, spending time looking at artwork first hand. Sketching and note taking were the main strategies employed to slow our looking and interrogate artworks.

The variety of work on display allowed students to make connections to their own personal interests, whether looking at the technique, style or subject matter. Highlights were the Tate’s new hang that features more women artists and a broader range of practices including photography.
