During the recent Chinese New Year holidays, a group of 15 Cranleigh China Wuhan students were welcomed to Cranleigh UK for a week to experience all aspects of Cranleigh School life, followed a week later by Cranleigh China Changsha students. Buddied up with our students for lessons and in the boarding houses, our Cranleigh China students quickly adapted to Cranleigh life and made friends. Amongst many varied activities, they enjoyed lacrosse and fives (both very new to them but very enjoyable!), contributed to the Dangerous Minds talks and collaborated with Cranleigh UK students to send a Happy Year of the Dragon video back to their classmates in China.

Cranleigh UK students were fantastic hosts for the two weeks and should be commended for their caring, welcoming and open approach to hosting our Cranleigh China students.

Headmaster of Cranleigh China Changsha, Adam McRoy said: “On behalf of all of us at Cranleigh Changsha, I cannot thank you enough for the warm welcome you gave our staff and students. They still can’t stop talking about the experience and the new friends they made. Your efforts, and those of everyone involved in making the trip happen, are very much appreciated.”
