On Friday 1st March, the swimming team headed to the London Aquatics centre used for the 2012 Olympic games.

The freestyle relays did well with the boys missing out on the school record by just one second. They all swam on their personal best so we couldn’t have asked for any more.

The medley relays were brilliant. The girls made the small schools final and finished 6th, breaking the school record by nearly 2 seconds. The boys did not final but broke the school record!

The new Head of aquatics Mrs Clements stated that “the whole squad were so supportive of each other. The boys were stood up cheering the girls on during their final and all the pupils were fantastic throughout the whole day. All in all it was a great day of racing and it is a really exciting start for us to build from”.
