Ivan S., Upper Sixth, has received the first Head’s commendation of  this academic year. Ivan is a keen student of Physics and spent the summer researching relativity, a topic outside the current A-Level syllabus.

Having read the Oxford University Press ‘Very Short Introductions’ series, he decided to have a go at writing his own.

A member of Cubitt House, Ivan joined Cranleigh in the summer term of the Lower Fifth, learning in his third language was a challenge, but his impressive work ethic meant that he was soon excelling in the sciences.  Ivan, who also studies Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths is hoping to study Physics at Oxford University next year. The intellectual curiosity he has demonstrated this summer should stand him in very good stead.
