There are certain moments in the school year that remind us what it truly means to be part of the Cranleigh community, and our Remembrance Service on Tuesday was one of them. Gathering together in the Chapel, pupils and staff joined in heartfelt reflection and song, with particularly moving performances from the choir.
A special thank you goes to our talented staff musicians – Mr Scriven on the organ and Mr Andrews on the pipes – whose contributions added such depth and solemnity to the occasion.
As Revd Harrison reminded us in his address, it is both right and important that we pause to remember former pupils who gave their lives in service to their country. Their courage and selflessness continue to shape the spirit and values of our School today – their legacy endures in our calendar, our community, and our commitment to peace.

Our Remembrance events were part of an especially busy week for our musicians. On Sunday, members of the Wind Band supported the village Remembrance Service, with James Whitfeld giving a beautifully played Last Post – a fitting tribute to those we honour each year.
