We are absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news as we reach the end of this busy term. We’ve had a truly successful start to our Pre-Prep journey, with our happy children in Years 1 and 2 thoroughly enjoying their very first term and now buzzing with excitement for the upcoming Christmas celebrations.
Looking ahead, September 2026 is going to be a landmark moment as we prepare to open our doors to our youngest learners aged 3 and 4. To welcome them, we need more space and facilities and we are thrilled to confirm that just before half term, we were granted permission to extend the Roulston Building!
We have now secured a trusted contractor who will arrive on site at the end of this week to begin ground investigations in readiness for the new build.
This impressive two-storey extension will be built on the far side of the existing building, ultimately providing four beautiful new classrooms. What’s more, the ground in front of the Roulston Building will be transformed into a brilliant new outside play area, much of which will be accessible to all our younger Prep children, not just Early Years.
For safety, a compound will be constructed this weekend which will be strictly out of bounds. All changing rooms will remain fully accessible. The construction company is entirely aware of the need to prioritise holidays for the loudest and most involved work and high-quality hoarding will be in place to keep disruption to lessons to an absolute minimum. In fact, to keep the excitement levels up, we have asked for special peep holes in the hoarding so the children can keep a close eye on all the amazing progress.
We expect the main build to be completed at the beginning of April, ready for internal fit out and the installation of the new playground.
This is a fantastic step forward for the whole school, and we can’t wait to see the incredible opportunities this will unlock for your children.
