We had two trips for our sixth-form pupils this term. Our L6th Business BTEC students visited Winning Moves in Paddington, London, the company behind Top Trumps and the commercial licensee responsible for producing bespoke editions of Monopoly. Students gained an insight into how Winning Moves develops and manages commercial partnerships, creates customised products for global brands, and designs effective marketing campaigns. The day offered a valuable look at how a successful games company operates, providing real-world context to the students’ NEAs and their own Cranleigh Monopoly project.
For the politics trip, 18 UVI students attended the Polecon UK Conference held in Westminster at Methodist Central Hall. Pupils had the opportunity to hear from and question high profile figures from the world of politics including Zack Polanski, Richard Tice MP and Sir Chris Bryant, the Minister of State for Media Tourism and Creative Industries.
