Our Estates team worked hard over the Easter break making improvements keeping our School looking fresh. The work was spearheaded by our new Director of Estates, Mr Giles Warren, a former pupil at the school.
Giles said: “As an Old Cranleighan, this is a particularly meaningful moment. I’m incredibly proud to return to the school I once walked through as a pupil. The opportunity to help shape its future is a real privilege.”
The works included refurbishments to the North Entrance, with a new ceiling, new cupboards, new flooring, new lighting and decoration.
The Connaught Corridor which runs between Martlet and the dining hall was due for a complete refresh, which included removing decades of old paint.
Updates to the boarding houses are continuing, including the corridors, bedrooms and bathrooms in South and West.
Our in-house carpentry team built bespoke cupboards from scratch at Prep Music Department. The finishing touch was cutting out the instrument shapes in the doors.
Giles continued: “Our heritage, ambition and sense of community are truly special. I’m excited to work with colleagues across the school to enhance the estate and create an inspiring, safe and future‑ready environment for generations to come.”
