Cranleigh School Announces New School in Vietnam

Cranleigh School officially announces its expansion into Southeast Asia with a new state-of-the-art campus in Hanoi.

Cranleigh School has just officially announced its expansion into Vietnam at a prestigious launch event held in Hanoi on Thursday 11 June. The milestone event – at which the paperwork was formally signed – celebrated the collaboration between Cranleigh’s 160-year British educational heritage and the modern aspirations and vibrant culture of Vietnam.

The launch was attended by a number of VIP guests and official partners, including Mr Matt Western MP, the UK Trade Envoy to Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, and the British Consul-General and Trade Director, Ms Alexandra Smith.

As the latest addition to the Cranleigh Schools Group, the Hanoi school will join established campuses in Abu Dhabi and China, alongside the home school in Surrey, UK. Designed to be deeply rooted in local culture while offering a traditional, high-quality British-style education, the new campus will champion Cranleigh’s core mission: to encourage pupils to aspire boldly, be themselves and care for others as they become confident, culturally aware global citizens. It will incorporate both bilingual and international streams within its offering.

The purpose-built Hanoi campus has been designed to support both high academic standards and Cranleigh’s traditional breadth of co-curricular activities. State-of-the-art facilities will include dedicated science and innovation hubs, bespoke debating and Model United Nations chambers, and creative arts spaces, with a physical layout carefully crafted around student wellbeing.

Sam Price, Cranleigh Schools Group Head, said: “This event and our partnership with the Sunshine Group marks an exciting new chapter for the Cranleigh Schools Group, allowing us to bring our academically ambitious, holistic education to Vietnam. Our school in Hanoi will combine traditional British academic excellence and rich co-curricular breadth within an inspiring, state-of-the-art environment. By instilling ambition and humility in our pupils, we look forward to nurturing a new generation of globally minded young people, ready to discover their unique strengths on the world stage.”
