On Sunday the new climbing year got off to a great start with a visit to Stone Farm, a local sandstone crag overSAHY Climbing Stone Farm_1500062 towards East Grinstead. Sunny weather for the preceding week meant that the soft, friable, rock was in as good condition as it ever gets, so the select group for Cranleigh crag rats were able toSAHY Climbing Stone Farm_1500050 try a variety of boulder problems and top rope routes. Despite the idyllic weather, the area was not too busy, allowing us to move gently along the cragSAHY Climbing Stone Farm_1500030 as our fancy took us. Squirmy off-width chimneys, balancy slabs, jamming crack routes and boulder traverses at a variety of grades kept everyone amused for the day.

Our next outing will be to The Peak District at the end of Long Leave. Fingers crossed for similar dry conditions them.
