The boys and girls 2nd XI teams went head to head on Thursday evening in a “golden army” match with a golden sunset backdrop.

A decent crowd of 6th formers turned out to watch a great standard of flowing hockey from both teams.  The girls were a little rusty (having not played since before Christmas) and found themselves 3-0 down, but rallied well at half time and kept the final score to a 4-0 win for the boys.

The match was played in great spirit and showcased one of the best things about hockey – the ability for boys and girls to play with or against each other on the same pitch.  Well done to all involved.
