The Boys’ U18 hockey team continued the success enjoyed by the Boys’ U14 hockey team by beating RGS Guildford in a closely fought final on Wednesday February 27th.

It was a fast, flowing match, with the work rate of both teams being very good on a cold, raw afternoon. Nathanael Farrant scored an opportunistic equaliser after RGS took an early lead; in the second halfhockey. boys u18 gall 2, a deciding goal could not be scored before full time. Cranleigh enjoyed slightly better possession and territory but both goal keepers made significant saves. The teams were separated by penalty flicks, Cranleigh winning 3-2.

Earlier Cranleigh met neighbours Charterhouse in the semi finals and won 3-2 in a nervous and slower encounter. The team now competes in the South Regional heats on Wednesday March 13th .
