During the week, we saw matches played across Hockey, Fives, Rugby Sevens & Netball. Cranleigh School’s U18 Rugby Sevens team made an impressive start to their season, securing the Plate at the prestigious Hampton Founders tournament. This achievement marks the fourth consecutive year that Cranleigh has brought home silverware from this high-profile tournament. Throughout the day, Cranleigh demonstrated attacking flair and defensive resilience, scoring a total of 116 points while conceding just 34. In the Plate final against Epsom, Cranleigh delivered an impressive display in wet conditions, winning 33-7. The 14A boys’ hockey team lost 3-2 to Reed’s in the national plate in a thrilling match with the 16A netball team winning well on Thursday afternoon.

The U14 fives teams played against the Prep school in what is always a great occasion and we wish the 1st XI boys hockey the best in their Quarter final Tier 1 match tonight at 7:15pm against St George’s.

Proudly for all of us here, this weekend we see a vast number of matches in what we hope will see 37 matches in the afternoon. We also have two golfers playing in the SWIFT tournament this coming Sunday and Monday at Frilford Heath GC in Oxfordshire and we wish them both the best of luck.
