David Vaiani

Mr David Vaiani has been teaching History and Politics at Cranleigh since 2016. He is an Assistant Housemaster in Cubitt and Second in Department in History and Politics. Beyond the classroom, he is a keen sportsman and enjoys working with the football and golf teams. He is an FA qualified referee and referees school matches, as well as local club matches across Surrey. He runs the school’s History of Art society and gives regular talks on the subject. Before coming to Cranleigh, Mr Vaiani spent nearly a decade in the corporate world in London. He read History at Oriel College, Oxford, and has an iPGCE from the University of Buckingham. Away from school, he loves 20th century British art, modern first edition books, the Kinks, James Bond films, food and wine, country walks with his dog, playing golf and tennis, and watching Liverpool FC. He is married and lives in Cranleigh, but tries to spend as much time as possible in Italy.
