Mike Worsley

Mr Mike Worsley originally joined Cranleigh School in September 2009 and stayed for one year before moving to Marlborough College for the next five years, only to return to Cranleigh School in 2015 to re-join the Economics and Business Studies department. Having graduated with a Law degree in 1995, he then went on to become a Professional Rugby Player with Bristol, London Irish, Harlequins and England. His career highlights include being part of the England 2003 6 Nations Grand Slam winning squad, playing alongside Jonny Wilkinson and being captained by Martin Johnson.

After retirement from rugby in 2005, Mr Worsley spent the next 4 years working in the City as a Private Banker for Credit Suisse before starting his teaching career at Cranleigh in 2009. Outside the classroom, he coaches rugby, athletics and netball. Away from work, Mr Worsley enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and plays the occasional round of golf (often badly). He lives in the West boarding house with his wife Mrs Adele Worsley (Housemistress: West) and his four boys – William, Sammy, George and Thomas.
