Robert Wilkins

Robert Wilkins, MA, DPhil

Graduated in Physiological Sciences from University College, Oxford.  He subsequently completed a D.Phil. in Oxford, after which he was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship at Christ Church.

In January 2004 he was appointed to a University Lectureship in Epithelial Physiology at St Edmund Hall, where he holds the American Fellowship and is presently the Senior Tutor.  His research characterises the involvement of membrane transport pathways in osteoarthritis and epithelial cancers.

He is the Director of the University’s Biomedical Sciences course and co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Medical Sciences (OUP).
