At the end of last term, James Gall and Ali Clift were delighted to hear of their selection for the final England U18 hockey squad. Based on their performances at the Futures Cup held in October, and other selection sessions, they have both been shortlisted for the final squad to play in the Four Nations tournament at Easter, against Germany, Holland and Spain.
Will Calnan is still waiting to hear if he has been selected for the final England U16 squad (soon to be announced), and his sister Charlotte is delighted to have been chosen to attend a training weekend next May at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre for a group of thirty U15 girls who impressed particularly at the recent HiPaC activity sessions.
Also worthy of mention is Katie Batchelor’s selection for the East Grinstead Ladies 1st indoor team that competes in the Premier League.
