On Wednesday 4th September, during the first day of Surrey versus Nottinghamshire, OC Stuart Meaker had a pleasant surprise during lunchtime.

In front of the Oval pavilion, with the full Surrey squad and support staff in attendance, Meaker was presented his Surrey County Cap by the Surrey CEO and Captain. County caps are not automatically awarded to players on their first appearances, rather they have to be earned. For Stuart to be awarded his cap after just two years with Surrey is a fine achievement. Everyone at Cranleigh continues to watch Stuart’s progress with pride.
