Last term, for the first time the Girls’ U14, U16 and U18 hockey teams all qualified through the Surrey heats and finals, and the South regional heats, to reach the South regional finals. Each side then came second at these finals to earn themselves a playhockey 1-off match to reach the National Finals. Cranleigh is the only School in the country to have all its three teams reach the South Finals. Traditional powerhouses and regular national winners over the years St. George’s and Kingston Grammar were represented in two of the three age groups.

The U18s unfortunately lost in their play-off match against King’s Canterbury for whom their England centre forward (one of three England players) scored four goals. The U14s go to Queenswood on Tuesday 29th January for a 5pm start under lights, and the U16s entertain Canford at 2pm at Cranleigh on Thursday 31st January.
