Strike up the band was certainly the order of the day on Saturday 9th February, when the Big Band performed in the Atrium of the Emms Centre. This black tie Supper Dance was in aid of the charity Coming Home, a splinter charity from Help for Heroes that makmusic. big band supper dance 2es appropriate housing available for veterans of the armed forces that have been injured whilst on active service.

The quality of the music was extremely high as the band throughout the evening  performed many of the old standards: ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’, ‘Tuxedo Junction’, ‘Moon River’ and many more. On a number of occasions the dancefloor was packed with parents, friends, relatives and supporters  dancing the night away.  In all it was a great evening, a wonderful experience for our musicians and  it raised just over £2,000 for the charity – well done to all who performed and helped make the evening such a great success.
