Old Cranleighan Michael Burgess (2012) makes his 1st XI debut for Surrey today in their match against Oxford University at the Parks. Michael, who  was the Cranleigh 1st XI captain in 2012, is keeping wcricket. burgess. surreyicket. No doubt he relished receiving the first over from England fast bowler Chris Tremlett!

Michael is joined in the side by fellow Old Cranleighan Stuart Meaker (2007) who took nine wickets in Surrey’s last Championship match. We wish them both all success in their cricket careers, and in particular wish Michael luck on his debut.
