A record number ofHockey Cranleigh pupils were involved in the Tier 1 stage of the 2013 regional hockey process, which culminated in two September Sundays of competition between  twelve regional squads. As a result seven pupils have been selected for the Tier 2 stage.  For this second stage, there are four regional squads of 18 players chosen for each age group and Cranleigh students are either in the Wessex Leopards squad, representing the South West of the country, or in the Saxon Tigers squad representing the South East of the country:

Nathan Thorpe (U18 Wessex Leopards); Will Calnan (U18 Saxon Tigers); Chloe Nicholls (U17 Wessex Leopards); Charlotte Calnan (U16 Saxon Tigers); Megan Batchelor (U16 Wessex Leopards); Izzy Petter (U15 Wessex Leopards); Rory Calnan (U15 Saxon Tigers – non travelling reserve).

The U15s and U17s will take part in HiPac (27th -29th Oct), and the U16s and U18s will take part in Futures Cup (31st Oct – 3rd Nov) .

We wish all the players good luck as they seek to impress the England selectors who will be choosing the U18 and U16 National squads based on performances at these events.
