Following the success of the U16 girls on Wednesday, it was the turn of the U14 girls to contest their National Finals on Thursday.  After a slow start against Millfield in their U14first match of the day, losing 0-1, they held GS Leeds to a draw before beating Trent College 3-0 to finish second in their group and find themselves in the play off for 3rd and 4th place against Rugby.  This match they dominated from start to finish, eventually winning 3-0 to take bronze medal position behind Millfield and the winners, St George’s.  This was an outstanding result, going one better than the U14 team who finished 4th last year.

On Wednesday the boys U14 hockey team became Surrey runners up and qualified for the South Regional Heats next Monday as a result.  They beat St George’s Weybridge 7-0 in the semi-final and then lost to RGS Guildford 0-1 in the final.  They played well against the first team to challenge them seriously this season and they are looking forward to the next stage of their competition.
