Cranleigh is currently hosting the Tongan national rugby team who are staying for two weeks in preparation for an international match against Romania prior to them competing in the 2015 World Cup in September. Tonga are ranked 9th in world so head into the tournament with high hopes.
Tonga have already engaged with the local community away from the rugby pitch, with the whole squad worshipping with the congregation at the local baptist church on Sunday, and demonstrating their singing skills, and on Monday the School hosted a community rugby coaching session on our 1st xv pitch which included 75 players from eleven separate rugby clubs from around the area.
The next event will be on Wednesday 19th August where 60 young players from another London based club will be visiting.
