On Monday we held our UCAS day for our lower sixth formers to support them in finding the most suitable path to take for their future. TheyWorkshop2 had a variety of talks  from representatives from Leeds, Bath, Kings, Surrey and Yale universities. They received advice about writing their personal statement, how to apply to university  and student finance.  Old Cranleighans came back to join in with the speed dating element, answering as many questions as they could within the short time frame. After Friday’s visit to a variety of universities, our pupils now have much to think about and time over the holidays to do some more detailed research.

Our very first Employability day took place on Tuesday and they worked in teams to create ‘Evie’ or ‘Ernie’ and competed in the dynamic graduate job market to ensure that their character stood out from the crowd, passed the interview and was offered theDSC_0994 job. Many thanks to all the workshop leaders who helped the pupils to build their personal brand to ensure that they create the right impression when facing a prospective employer: Beverlie Wilkinson, Shelagh Roberts, Jacqueline Frost, Alison Laker, Lewis Clark, Kathy Harvey, Paul Dunn and Inspiring Futures.
