Cranleigh’s U18 Girls were crowned South Regional Outdoor Hockey champions after a well fought campaign last week. They have qualified for the Investec Schools National Finals at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre, Olympic Park, on Wednesday 28th February and Thursday 1st March 2018.

Sixth Form pupils Amber Walton and Pippa Lock attended GB trials and Pippa became the only schoolgirl in the country to be selected to join the GB Development Squad.

It’s been a great term for Cranleigh Hockey in all age groups. The Girls U16s were placed fourth in the region for Outdoor hockey and the Girls U14 Outdoor team also won the South Heats and South Quarter-final. We wish them luck in the South Finals on Wednesday 6th December.

The Indoor Boys U18s placed 3rd in the South Heats this week, and Indoor Boys U16s were came 3rd in the South Regional Finals, having been Runners Up in the South Heats. Both U18s and U16s Indoor Girls were respective South Heats group winners, again qualifying for the South Finals. The U16s finished 3rd in the South Regional Finals.

Currently five Cranleigh pupils play for the England U18 Girls (Zoe Allchurch, Coca Hall, Izzy Petter, Millie Regan and Fifi Robinson), and Rosie Hope plays for the U16 Girls. Pupils Harry Gough and Taylor Seager-Green both play for England U18 Boys.
