Cranleigh Riders excelled themselves at the NSEA National Plate final at Keysoe in Bedfordshire at the weekend.

The rush of medals started with the Mini Arena Eventing teams taking gold and silver, with individual placings for Issy Hollidge and Kristi Vitek. They followed this up later in the morning with both the A and B teams qualifying for their Show Jumping jump off and finishing in fourth and sixth.

Not to be outdone, the Novice Arena Eventing teams rose to the challenge, with the A team storming to a resounding win over 12 marks ahead of their nearest rivals. The B team made the final line-up in sixth place.

To top this excellent team performance Phoebe Going was crowned individual Novice Arena Eventing Champion with her final penalty marks of just 2 leaving her competitors in her wake.

It was lovely to see two of our newer Sixth Form riders, Lauren Hilton and Zoe Brune, doing well too. They joined Tiger Tang and Phoebe Going in taking bronze medal position in the Intermediate Show Jumping to round off a very successful first day.

Day two was a quieter affair but both the Novice Show Jumping teams made the final jump off with the younger riders knocking the older ones into fourth place whilst they took the bronze medal; excellent riding from Annie and Kristi Vitek, Scarlett Stehlik and Bella Barker.

In our final event of the weekend Phoebe Going and Issy Hollidge took individual places in the Intermediate Arena Eventing to round off a fabulous weekend.
