Lower Fifth rider Annie V. took individual bronze at the Young Riders European Championships in Portugal.

Riding for the Czech national team, she took her medal in the Children on Horses category.

From 69 combinations that started in the team competition, 45 qualified for the individual final and five of those jumped clear rounds to go forward to the jump off.

In true Annie style she was not going to sit in the wings, and posted the fastest time but had four faults. However, only two riders went clear, much slower than her, so she took the bronze medal.
