Last Friday on the 5th November I accompanied eight students to Guildford to take part in a mock COP26 debate. In this Cranleigh were all allocated a country (we were Bhutan), and the team had to put forward their reasons for why Bhutan is struggling, what they needed, and what their aims are for the future. These positions were then debated with other countries, and so forth.
We also had a large discussion about what we could do in the Guildford area to work towards being carbon negative, debating the current issues and also solutions.
The students were excellent, and a real credit to the school.
The students that took part were:
Robbie M., Lea G., Nimo K., Kasim S., Lauren B., Ozzy L., Alex R., and Theo S.
