Congratulations to the golf team who travelled to the JCB Golf and Country Club in Staffordshire last weekend to play in the HMC Strokeplay finals. This was the tour final event of the season, with our team having previously been involved in Strokeplay events at The Berkshire and Hollinwell GC.
The team of James M., Ben A., Jamie McG. and Jack H., played 36 holes on the Saturday, followed by another 18 on the Sunday. The whole field of 62 players found the going tough on the Saturday with the greens proving particularly tricky. The final standings saw James M. taking 4th place (78-77-79) and Ben A. 12th (84-79-77), our team came 6th overall.
The Order of Merit, based on scores from three events throughout the season saw James M. take 4th place and the team 9th place.
