It was so great to welcome back Tahir from Defence Lab to work with our sixth form boys as part of our PSHE programme. Last year we hosted Tahir to work with our sixth form girls. Each year group had two hours of hands on training helping them to feel confident and well equipped to deal with a potentially dangerous situation.

They explored the difference between self-defence and personal safety whilst learning how to reduce the risk of injury should they face a knife assault. The boys were fully engaged listening to Tahir and putting their new found skills into practice. Their enthusiasm and focus was fantastic. Let’s just hope that our pupils never have to use their new found defence skills.
