Following the success of last year’s nascent Musical Theatre showcase, ‘Something Familiar, Something Peculiar’ returned to the MMS on the evening of 15th November. This year we were treated to a packed programme of performers from all years of the School singing songs from shows as varied as Mamma Mia and Wicked, to Waitress and Guys and Dolls. The depth of musical theatre talent was apparent and this bodes well for the upcoming Junior Musical (High School Musical 2) and next year’s senior musical (whatever that may be…).

All performers were excellent but of particular note were the mature and controlled voices of Alfie A. (Pure Imagination), Max F. (Luck Be a Lady) and Hettie S. (I’m Not That Girl) as well as the dramatic performances given by Georgina E. (I’d Give My Life For You) and Leah S. (The Sound of Music).

Huge well done to everybody involved.
