The Tennis teams were in action, with the Girls’ 1st and 2nd teams, along with the 15A, securing strong wins over Seaford, while the 14A narrowly lost a close match. The Boys faced Bradfield, with the 14A team impressively winning 7–2.

In Golf, three players competed in the SWIFT Tour finale. James M. shot a remarkable 71 (the only under-par round across all golfers at the tournament), finishing 3rd overall. Jack H. placed in the top 50.

Athletics saw a co-ed meet at Charterhouse with 60 athletes competing. Highlights included Sam McL. winning the inter boys’ long jump (PB 6.15m) and Bethan L. taking the inter girls’ javelin with a 3m lead.

In cricket, the Girls’ 1st XI beat Wellington by 45 runs, led by Abby S’s stunning 99 and three catches. The 2nd XI won with strong batting from Madeleine R. and Grace J., while the 15A team tied in a thrilling match. Girls U15 also won in the Cup yesterday by 9 wickets.

Boys’ teams also shone: 14B & 14C won well with the 3rd XI (dismissed their opponents for 61, Patrick A. taking 3 wickets), 1st XI (chased 235 with 8 wickets to spare, thanks to Nat A. and Zan C.), and 15A (chased 207 with 2 wickets in hand, Alex B. scoring 80). The 14A Boys lost, but Archie O’D. impressed with 5 wickets for 20 runs.

The Boys House Swimming event saw 11 records broken, with Loveday’s U16 Medley team smashing theirs by 20 seconds. Final standings: Loveday 1st (99 pts), East 2nd (87), Cubitt 3rd (59), North 4th (54).

Mid-week matches included the Boys’ 1st XI cricket side winning in the National T20, with 15A and 14A boys teams also victorious in their cup matches—Samand K. scored 75 off 55 for the 15A boys team. The 5th XI boys team lost to Harrow but enjoyed their first game. England Women’s coach Charlotte Edwards visited Tuesday to coach the girls which was an amazing occasion for us as a School. Charlotte is England’s new Head coach and is regarded as one of the best cricketeers to have played the game.

In Golf, Jonny S. won the Cronk Salver on countback, with Rupert H. and James R. placing 2nd and 3rd. The golf team had matches on Tuesday and Thursday with the Thursday games vs Lord Wandsworth at senior level resulting in a win for the squad. The swim team also had a Gala on Thursday against Harrow with the team competing brilliant against a strong opponent.

Zac W. helped Wimbledon RFC U16s win the Harlequins rugby Cup, while George D., Ollie R., and Sam Y. represented Esher in the U15 Cup finals.

Congratulations to Tom H., Ms Laura White, and Mr Rory Andrews for completing the London Marathon in hot conditions.
