Schools Challenge1 (1) This year’s Loveday quiz team so impressed Messrs Brookes (scorer) and Longshaw (quizmaster and regional organiser of the national competition) that they selected all four of the team to be the School team.  The seniors were Christian Round and Nat McAleese-Park and the excellent juniors (who both made major contributions to the house’s victory) were Callum Job and Joe Mellor.  However, on the day Nat fell ill and so the seniors from the 2012 School team paired up again, with Fin Johnston joining Christian.

Unfortunately, though, the visiting Lord Wandsworth team were quicker on the buzzer and Cranleigh were defeated 610-430 in a contest where all eight competitors impressed at different times.  The Loveday support made this perhaps the largest audience we have had for a School match and their juniors have a chance to shine again in next term’s junior House Challenge Competition.
