The month of May has so far been full of impressive achievements for Cranleigh School rugby both past and present. Harry Barlow (L5th) was awarded the Surrey U15 Player of The Season trophy at Twickenham stadium recently. Harry is a key member of the School’s U15 side and has been representing Harlequins academy this season alongside Jamie Barden; Dillon Stingemore has also represented Surrey U15s in all their matches this season. Five of the current U14 team were

also selected for Surrey in their recent matches against Middlesex and Essex. Sam Lubbock, Max St John, Louis Vaughan, Mark Jamieson and Ben Church all played well and will be looking for further honours next season.

Sam Arnold has been selected for the U20 World Cup in Italy. Sam joined Ulster in July 2014 and has been selected for their crucial match against Glasgow Warriors while still only 18 years old. Sam was last season’s 1st XV captain and signed professional terms with the club during his final term at school. In his first year Sam has become the youngest professional player to win a 1st team professional cap for Ulster and was awarded the Academy Player of the Year Award last Wednesday night.

Charlie Piper represented Harlequins in the London Floodlit sevens tournament, where Harlequins won the tournament for the fifth successive year beating Wasps and Worcester along the way. Sam Smith is gearing up for the championship final for Worcester Warriors who take on Bristol in a two leg play-off final. James Cordy-Redden has signed a professional contract with England Sevens for next season, while Harry Elrington and Henry Taylor will be starting their professional contracts with London Irish and Saracens in July. Three time Oxford Blue, Henry Lamont, has been elected to the prestigious role of secretary of the club for the 2015 season. KK Ndewere will be representing Great Britain in the upcoming World Student Games for rugby sevens.
