The now annual series of Lent Addresses took place last week with a team of eight spending five days in the School. Ken Moulder, the main speaker, was refreshingly disarming and winsome, challenging us to engage with the Christian message as recorded by one of the original eye-witnesses, the Gospel-writer, John. His blend of quiet humour, straight talking and warm manner endeared him to many here. He spoke at all chapel services, as well as three voluntary evening events. The team included three OCs, all of whom appeared glad to be back here and it hardly seemed they had been away, so easily did they slip back into Cranleigh life. As a group they joined the School for classes, sport and activities, and were attached as ‘guests’ in each of the boarding houses. The three evening addresses were very well-supported, with numbers well into the sixties, filling the Reading Room.
