Last Friday the fourth form Classical Civilisation classes went to the British Museum to explore different aspects of Roman Civilisation as part of their current classroom projects. They saw a varietyIMAG3782 of objects, ranging from ancient baking trays, to a tortoise-shell lyre; from crocodile armour to Medusa earrings; from statuettes of rats playing the trumpet, to portraits from Palmyra. They even had the chance to view the Parthenon marbles!silver dish
