A recent sixth form German evening involved U6th students giving a presentation to the L6th students on their research topic of ‘Life in the13 GDR. This was followed by a quiz on the GDR and general questions on Germany. Groups were then set the task of building the longest meaningful sentence in German which had to include three prescribed words; some quite interesting stories emerged!

The evening finished off with a pronunciation competition of a couple of tongue twisters and some reached an8 impressive speed without making any mistakes. All joined in with good humour and everyone had an enjoyable and informative time. Many thanks to the U6th students for putting a lot of effort and time into creating their fantastic presentations.12
