The Sound of Waves

Our Head of Woodwind, Dr. Andrew Thomas, was recently commissioned to compose a piece for viola and accordion, which he entitled The Sound of Waves.

It was recorded by BBC Radio 3 at its premiere during the 2017 St Magnus Festival, Orkney in June, and was broadcast as a ‘lunchtime concert’ today. Please follow this link to hear the recording of this beautiful piece of music. Available on iPlayer for the next 30 days.
